What the tool does

The compressor decodes your image in the browser, adjusts encoding quality, and reduces resolution when necessary. It keeps the original file untouched. You can choose another byte limit, set exact pixels, process a batch and download the results in a ZIP.

What “fits” means

We measure the output in decimal kilobytes: 1 KB is 1,000 bytes. A target is a maximum, not an exact byte count. Presets can also specify a minimum. An image that cannot satisfy the selected settings produces an explanation rather than a false success.

Private by design

There is no image upload service, account or cloud processing queue. Re-encoding removes source EXIF metadata, including camera and location fields. Read the privacy policy for the distinction between local image processing and ordinary website traffic.
